Why Ocoee

The Ocoee River unites the majority of our community of Cleveland, and as such, seemed a fitting name for our region. As for the logo, well…

The Ocoee icon represents many things…

Here’s the Why behind the
image.

American Flag –

self explanatory, but ‘Merica. Also, every F3 beatdown is required to have Old Glory out front. This serves as the rallying point, and lets FNGs (Friendly New Guys) know where to meet.

TriStar –

Tennessee state flag. Ocoee serves the SE Tennessee region, and the Volunteer State is our home.

Eagle –

Symbolizes strength and grace, but also commonly adorns a famous PAX’s er, “shorts.”

ROCK FLAG AND EAGLE.

Chieftain –

This woodcarving statue stands outside the 5 Points museum in downtown Cleveland. The area was originally home to Cherokee, and many PAX can directly trace their ancestry to them.

Arrowhead –

Man is called to be a warrior. The tip of the arrow also represents how man is needed to be the tip of the spear in our communities.

Mountains

Chilhowee looms over our community, and Ocoee has some of the finest hiking in the Appalachians.

Also, any kind of exercise done on a hill sucks at least three times more.

Evergreens

Resilience, hope, and adaptability. Plus, lots of us work together with chainsaws to clear out property.

Pipeline will let you borrow chaps, if you ask. (don’t ask)

Bear

Black bears abound in the hills around scenic(ish) Cleveland.

Plus, everyone hates bear crawls.
